The Association for the Attraction of Fuchu University (Fuchu City, Hiroshima Prefecture) has opened the "3D Lab" (photo), a manufacturing workshop on the theme of flying robots (drones), in "Roadside Station Bingo Fuchu" in Fuchu City. Using a subsidy from the city, the workshop is equipped with a 3D printer and desktop machine tools. By providing a place for students and other young people to make things, the city hopes to foster drone developers and increase the interest of citizens. The workshop is about 60 square meters in size, of which about 20 square meters are equipped with two 3D printers, tabletop machine tools, injection molding machines, and 3D scanners. It can be used by up to 20 people. In addition to making things with drones, they also offer workshops to learn how to fly them.
